Legally, usually no: since the EU Omnibus Directive (in force since February 2026), mandatory CSRD reporting only applies to companies with 1,000+ employees and €450m turnover. But CSRD-obligated key accounts and banks still request the data from their suppliers — only the standard is voluntary, not the pressure. The European Commission explicitly recommends the VSME standard for this, which is what we work to.
